Mia Mingus
Mia Mingus is a disability justice and transformative justice writer, educator, and organiser. Her key essay “Access intimacy: The missing link” (2011) names the experience of having access needs understood without constant explanation or defence. Her work is useful for analysing schools because it shifts the focus from formal accommodation to dignity, interdependence, and the kind of access that lets disabled children feel safe, understood, and fully human.
